Welcome to my website and blog, which is virtually brand new and will develop from here on.
I have only just completed the first of three parts of the biography, which comprises 240 pages. The next part will be completed soon and once the final part is done, the book will be published and offered for sale, both in hard copy and as an e-book. The completed book will be published as a soft cover and be around 700 pages in length. Feel free to subscribe to my newsletter for a sneak preview of selected chapters.
The art gallery will be split into a section depicting some previously commissioned works and another section depicting the latest works which are on offer and yet to be framed. Unfortunately I have not kept photographic records of a number of pieces, which were purchased by businesses, game lodges, or other private collectors.
Anyone interested in purchasing a copy of the Game Farming and Wildlife Management handbook, please send me an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you folks. Chat again soon!
30 December 2018
So here we are at the end of another year. It has been a challenging one indeed. For me personally it has been a hard year, with the very foundations of my life completely shaken up. My life story has taken quite a drastic turn and I am no longer living on the yacht in Cape Town. Sadly, Sweet Waters is currently in the market and waiting for her new owner. I hope whoever it is will love her as I have, and will take her on the adventures she is aching to undertake. She will be a safe haven for them in the roughest storms of life. It is time for me to move on and my dream of going cruising is on the back shelf.
It seems many others are happy to see the end of 2018 also and are hoping for a kinder and gentle time to come. I always take time to reflect at the end of every year, wondering and imagining where I might be in twelve months. This is not quite the vision I had in mind, but I have had little choice in the direction my life has taken.
I am seeking out a new start as I come full circle and return to the bush I love so much. I will be redoubling my efforts next year to make a success of my art career and hope that I can reach the point where I can support myself using this gift and bring glory and thanks to God. I am also planning to complete and publish my memoirs as this brand new chapter and phase in my life unfolds and I walk the path alone. The year ends with bittersweet memories and I embrace the challenges ahead, there are surely many!
I will also be sending out newsletters to those of you who have subscribed to keep you updated about what is developing. The first one will include the first chapter of my memoirs and I welcome any feedback and comments.
Thank you for your interest and support. I look forward to getting to know you all better and to share my art as my portfolio grows. There is a planned exhibition in the Lowveld in the next few months so that is a great incentive for me. It promises to be a busy year!
May God bless you and may 2019 be filled with love, hope, prosperity and peace for you personally and for our beloved country.
It's a good thing I was born in Africa, as like so many others, I developed a great passion for wildlife and the great outdoors. I have spent most of my life living in the bush somewhere, including many exciting years in the Kruger National Park. Currently I live on a yacht and am exploring the wildlife of the sea in the exquisite Cape Peninsula at the southern tip of Africa.
